Create and start new container based on existing image

docker run --name=CONTAINERNAME -ti IMAGE COMMAND
docker run --name=mydocker -ti ubuntu bash

Check status of known containers

docker ps -a

Stop / Start an existing container

docker stop CONTAINERNAME
docker start CONTAINERNAME

Start an existing container and attach to console output

docker start -a CONTAINERNAME

Remove an existing container

docker rm CONTAINERNAME

Copy a file from and into a docker container (while running)

docker cp FOO.BAR CONTAINERNAME:/FOO.BAR
docker cp CONTAINERNAME:/FOO.BAR FOO.BAR
